Bloody cake with raspberries and whipped cream - scary appearance and delicious taste

Bloody cake with raspberries and whipped cream is an extremely attractive dessert that will immediately attract attention. The main attraction is its intense red color, which resembles blood, and its texture, which combines the creaminess of whipped cream with the softness of sponge dough. This contrast creates a perfect combination that is perfect for spooky celebrations.

The raspberries used in this recipe add not only an attractive appearance, but also a refreshing fruity taste that balances the sweetness of the other ingredients. Their natural red coloring enhances the Halloween atmosphere even more. Topped with a layer of fluffy whipped cream, this cake will amaze even the most demanding gourmets. It is a dessert that not only looks good, but also tastes great, which makes it an ideal addition to any Halloween celebration.

In addition to its visual appeal and delicious taste, raspberry whipped cream blood cake is also very customizable. You can add different flavors, experiment with textures and even add other decorations to increase its spooky effect. In the following sections, I will cover the exact recipe and procedures to achieve the best result.

Basic ingredients and necessary utensils

To make a bloody cake with raspberries and whipped cream, you will need a few basic ingredients that are easily available in any store. The main ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs and butter, which are the basis for sponge cake. These ingredients combine to create a soft and fluffy cake base.

In addition, do not forget the raspberries, which will serve as a great addition and give the cake the necessary fruity taste. For the whipped cream, you can use whipping cream, which needs to be whipped to a fluffy consistency. To achieve a bloody effect, you can also add food coloring to enhance the red color of the raspberries.

If it is utensils, you will need classic kitchen tools such as a bowl, a whisk, a baking tray and a cake tin. Don't forget the baking paper, which will make it easier to remove the finished cake from the mold. All these tools will help you achieve a perfect result and make the entire preparation process easier.

The procedure for preparing a bloody cake with raspberries and whipped cream

The preparation of blood cake with raspberries and whipped cream begins with the preparation of the sponge cake. First, preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a cake pan that you line with baking paper. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, in a second bowl, the egg yolks and sugar and beat them until the mixture has a light and fluffy consistency. Then we add oil, water and flour mixed with baking powder and mix gently to create a homogeneous dough. Then add the beaten egg whites to the yolk mixture.

Pour the batter into the prepared mold and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and firm to the touch. After baking, let it cool on a wire rack. In the meantime, we will prepare the whipped cream. Beat the whipping cream with sugar and vanilla until you reach the desired consistency.

When the cake is cooled, cut it into two or three layers and add whipped cream and raspberry filling between each layer. You can add the rest of the whipped cream on top of the cake and decorate it with Halloween decorations. I added chocolate ganache on top of the whipped cream and added a little food coloring to create an extra bloody effect.

Tips for decorating and presenting a dessert

Decorating the blood cake with raspberries and whipped cream is the key step that gives the dessert its spooky look. You can experiment with different decorations such as edible eyes, chocolate spiders or even marzipan skulls. These elements will bring a Halloween atmosphere to the cake and will interest your guests.

In addition to whipped cream and raspberries, you can also add a little chocolate frosting to the top of the cake, which will create a "blood drops" effect. Just melt the chocolate and let it run down the sides of the cake. You can also use strawberry or raspberry jam to achieve a similar effect. These details will give the cake even more of a Halloween atmosphere.

For the presentation of the cake, you can use a beautiful plate or a cake stand that will enhance its appearance. Don't forget to let the cake stand for a few minutes before serving so that the flavors combine and the dessert is even tastier. Decorate the table with themed decorations such as candles, spooky figures and create the perfect atmosphere for a Halloween celebration.

Alternative variants and adjustments to the recipe

Bloody cake with raspberries and whipped cream is a very flexible dessert that you can customize according to your preferences. Instead of raspberries, you can also use other fruits such as strawberries, blueberries or blackberries. Each type of fruit will bring its own unique flavor and color to the cake, making the dessert even more interesting.

If you want to experiment with textures, you can also add mascarpone or cream cheese to the whipped cream, which will change its consistency and taste. You can also try adding different flavors to the dough, such as chocolate or coffee, to create new and interesting combinations. These modifications can take your cake to a whole new level.

For those who prefer gluten-free options, you can use gluten-free flour and adjust the other ingredients to suit your needs. This way even those with special dietary requirements will enjoy their Halloween celebration. Creativity is the key to creating a dessert that is not only tasty but also visually appealing.

Serving and serving options

You can serve Raspberry Whipped Cream Bloody Cake in a variety of ways to appeal to all your guests. For more formal celebrations, you can cut the cake into elegant portions and serve it on pretty plates with decorative elements. For example, you can add chocolate sauces or fruit purees to the plate to create an artistic impression.

At informal events, such as house parties, you can serve the cake in smaller glasses where you layer the sponge cake, whipped cream and raspberries. This way of serving is not only practical, but also very attractive and fun. Guests can choose how to assemble their dessert, which adds an interactive element to the meal.

Don't forget that presentation is important, so try to create a themed environment around the cake. Add candles, Halloween decorations and themed napkins. These details will help create an unforgettable atmosphere that will amaze your guests and add to the overall experience of the Halloween party.

Another interesting option is "dead heads" or "skull" cookies, which you can create from classic cookie dough and decorate them with white frosting and edible colors. These cookies are a great choice for kids who can decorate them in their own way.

Finally, don't forget the traditional caramel apples, which you can decorate with chocolate and colorful sprinkles to give them a spooky look. These desserts are a great way to combine classic Halloween elements with modern baking techniques. Your guests will surely enjoy themselves!

  • 150 g Greek-type white yogurt
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Chocolate Ganache:

  • 100 g White chocolate
  • 50 ml whipping cream
  • red food coloring

Approach:

Dough:

  • Beat the egg whites with 50g of suger until stiff peak forms. Add sugar gradually when foam starts to form.
  • Beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until stiff. Add vanilla paste. Then add oil and then water. Add flour mixed with baking powder and cocoa to the thus-beaten mixture. Mix well and finally add the beaten egg whites.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 30 minutes.

Raspberry Blood:

  • Pour sugar into the pan and add water. Let it dissolve. Add the raspberries and let them cook until the raspberries soften. Season with lime juice.
  • Next, mix the raspberries and strain through a sieve to get rid of the seeds.
  • Pour this mixture back into the pan and bring it to a boil. Add lime zest and season to taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar.
  • Thicken the raspberries. Take some of the raspberry mixture and mix it with cornstarch. Pour this mixture slowly to the raspberries and mix gradually to create a thick mixture. If you want, color the mixture so that you get a nice bloody color. Let it cool down.

Whipped cream:

  • Pour the whipped cream into a bowl, add the stiffener and vanilla paste. If you want, add sugar and beat until stiff.

Creamy cream:

  • Pour sour cream and yogurt into a large bowl and mix. Add vanilla paste, a little powdered sugar. Mix and set aside.

Chocolate Ganache:

  • Melt the whipping cream in a water bath together with the chocolate. Mix well to get the desired mixture. If the chocolate ganache is too thick, add more cream. If it is thin, add more chocolate. Only when you are satisfied with the mixture, color it.

Layering the cake:

  • Cut the cakes in half so that we have 4 cakes. Put a little bit of whipped cream on the bottom of the plate to stick the cake. Spread whipped cream on the 1st cake and cover with the 2nd cake..
  • Spread the second cake with raspberry blood and place cake number 3 on it. Cut a hole in the center of the 3rd corpus and fill with raspberry blood. Spread the whole cake with a sour cream. Apply a slightly thicker layer of whipped cream to the edges of the body to create a barrier for the raspberry mixture and prevent it from overflowing. The cream will thus help keep the filling firmly in place. In front of the prepared cream barrier, apply a layer of raspberry cream, but only to the inner edge of the barrier, so that the filling stays beautifully in place. Then, add another layer of cream to the center, which beautifully complements the raspberry taste and softens the cake. Finally, cover the whole cake with the remaining cream.
  • Cover the cake with the last layer and put it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Afterwards, cover the entire cake with whipped cream and let it cool, preferably overnight. Decorate the cooled cake with chocolate ganache by creating a so-called drips to make it look like blood. The decoration is up to you. I decided on skulls from which blood flows...
